What’s your name, age and where do you come from? Hey, I’m Chloe, I’m 28 and I’m from Cambridge.

Do you exercise regularly? What kind of exercises do you enjoy? I enjoy all types of exercise and love trying out new exercises and sports. In a standard week, I exercise 4/5 times.
Have you always enjoyed exercise? Yes, I used to do loads of sports when I was younger like horse-riding, water skiing, wake-boarding, snow skiing…hockey, netball.
Loads and loads then!!
As someone who has always incorporated exercise into their daily life, how does exercise make you feel? When I’m exercising, I feel quite powerful and happy. I feel like I’m nailing life when I’m exercising! I like the routine that exercise brings me, gives structure and variety to my day.
Who is your fitness inspiration and why? Anthony Joshua because he is SO strong!
What are your goals in fitness? General wellness, make my body look good. Mine for the last 20 years has been to lose weight!
What would you say are your achievable goals? Reduce my 5km time and increase my upper body strength. Make my left side as strong as my right side.
When would you like to achieve these by? Just ongoing really but I realise that is bad and I need to have a set date.
How do you feel when you don’t exercise? I feel down, fat and unhealthy.
Have you ever suffered with any mental health issues and do you think exercise helps you? Yes and 100% yes. Obviously when you feel depressed you don’t want to get out of bed but when you have exercise it is a goal, something to do. I had something to get out of bed for and felt like I had achieved. I think a lot of my depression was related to body image and by going to the gym I could see progress that I had made.
Anything you would say to the rest of the MaMo community? With exercise, it is about finding an exercise that you love. Then it doesn’t become exercise, it becomes something you enjoy and part of your day you look forward to.
